Sunset Wins First District In A Decade

SFHSSports.com Writer There’s no need to remind the Sunset boys' cross country team about last year’s dismal District 15-4A showing.
They clearly remember coming into the meet as heavy favorites, even more clearly remember being upset by rival Ferguson when they should, by all rights, have swept the first three spots.
But more than the meet, “the meeting” after the loss is what they remember.
“It was done right after the race. I think it was something that was tattooed to their brains ever since then,” Sunset coach Alex Shaw said. “It was a very loud meeting. Behind closed doors, of course. Today, we did anything to avoid having another meeting.”
